Blog Won't Display

I am trying to use the blog on my client’s test site as a place to post job listings. Their homepage is set up as shown here: http://www.maaspublications.net/testsite/client/

But when I include the blog page in the top navigation, the page gives me this error:
“You need to choose your home page in your WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading.”

Now, I do have the Reading settings set correctly (see attached screenshot), so I don’t know why I’m getting an error. I have tried setting the blog page template to Default and any of the 3 Blog formats. I have also tried nesting the blog page under the Home page, but I don’t think that’s the problem. I think the theme is confused as to which page is the Home page, and I don’t know where else to resolve that.
