Essential Grid (Ray Bourque) template not functioning properly.

Hello,
I am using the Ray Bourque template for an Essential Grid layout for my photography website. It seemed to functioning fine initially as I incorporated it into my website.

I did to make any changes to the layout as I just needed to ad content until I was ready to add a link icon to each photo to link to the store product description.

Anyway, I noticed the magnify glass icon dropped from the center of the page to the bottom center as the icon box stays solid white until hover over. Looks bad and does not make it easy for individual to open for full size image.

I contacted Essential Grid. They replied as follows;
“Thanks for the details. I’m Stan and your issue has been forwarded to me. The issue appears because of the theme styles that override ESG design.
You need to contact your theme devs and ask them to fix the issue.”
