Sub menu link hover colour

    Hi, I’m trying to change the colour of the sub menu links hover colour.

    I have this
    #main-nav ul.sub-menu li a:hover {color:green !important;}
    which works if I use a:link or a:visited but not a:hover
    Can you help please?
