Struggling with Home-One Page Boxed Theme

I imported the Home One Page Boxed theme and have made some progress with making changes, but I am stumped with several issues.

1) Cannot change the menu. I have made custom menus and applied them to other pages, but cannot override the original menu with this theme.

2) Would like to delete all of the page elements that appear below the animation but can’t figure it out.

3) I have customized the animation to meet my needs, but the animation I see when I preview within the Revolution slider does not match the animation I see when I preview the entire pages (e.g. Letters appearing one by one vs. the entire word appearing.
