Highend Customizing Problems

We have been working with Highend for a few days and have a decent feel for where to go to change what we need. A couple problems we cannot seem to figure out:

1. Some pages seem to have a ‘hidden’ column on the right side of the screen. This is not viewable when using a page editor so we can only assume it’s coming from somewhere else in the system. We’ve searched and tried a bunch of different things with no luck. Could it be a template file that’s causing this? We don’t have any custom templates so maybe it’s one of the built-in ones. If that’s the case, where can we go to edit those? If that’s not it, please let us know where to find the option to turn it off.

2. We are having troubles editing the text color on our blog page. We’re able to successfully change the title header background image, colors, etc. but for some reason the text color won’t change. What’s the best way to go about doing this? Are we not looking in the right place or is there a problem with WP and/or the theme?
