Customize not working in Appearance

Hi there I’ve been trying to change some of the colors like the accent color or the footer text color it will show that it changed and I publish it but it will not update. When I go back into customize it shows that it is set at a new color but still appears as the same, I’ve already gone down the cache route and it was not the issue. Can anyone help?
