Full Page – Home Page

I’m trying to create a full page Home Page and cannot find any documentation or topics on this forum to help. I’m looking to create a page referred to in the link the “right way”. I’ve patched together some CSS that kind of gets me there but limits me from putting text on the page and it does not render correctly on mobile.
