add social icons to navigation bar / menu

hi – i know how to add social icons to the top bar, but i was wondering if there was an easy way to add them to the navigation bar (next to home, blog, about) – i’ve looked around appearance>menu but dont see anything (i understand how to add a custom link, but it only looks like i can use text)
